Bulkley Valley Nordic Centre
Groomed runs, a day lodge, lighted night skiing and regular events are offered at Buckley Valley. This Nordic centre is situated on Hudson Bay Mountain, approximately 15 minutes from downtown Smithers.

Both experienced and beginner skiers can enjoy the 45 km (28 mi) of cross-country ski trails located around the Silverthorne Lake area. Trails are found 8 km (5 mi) south of Houston.

Waterlily Cross Country Ski Trails
Located north of town on Highway 16, the Waterlily Cross Country Ski Trails are maintained by the Nechako Valley Sporting Association, providing 30 km (19 mi) of groomed ski trails. The trails are also used for mountain biking in the summer months.
