Hikers can walk the Sunset Trail, crossing through forests and dense bush along the coastline of Yakoun Bay. Viewing benches and towers are available offering views of the area.
Here, one can experience the pristine wild coastline on Graham Island. One can also, climb to Tow Hill's summit to get a gorgeous glimpse of the bogs and beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside, including Yakan Point and South Beach.
This trail was once used to take visitors to the legendary Golden Spruce Tree, scared to the Haida First Nation group and a major draw to Port Clements for its golden needles. It was chopped down in 1997 by a former forester in protest. Today the hike is still worthwhile, crossing through a forested trail leading to the Yakoun River.
